Volunteering

 The Child Access Center depends on the help of our dedicated volunteers.  Volunteers have the opportunity to assist with monitoring parents in the waiting area, supervising children in the play area or recording important exchange information.  Whether you have a few hours a week or a few hours a month to give, we will work to meet your needs and your schedule.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application and submit it to the Child Access Center.

What to Know About Our Wish List

We need and appreciate donations!  Your generosity helps us accomplish our mission of promoting the physical and emotional security of children and their families and provide a safe and supportive environment for monitored custody exchanges and supervised visitation.

Things to Keep in Mind:

• Please call ahead to make arrangements for donations.  We do not always operate during normal business hours and we share our location. 
• For safety considerations, most items must be new.  These items are marked below.

We frequently need:

Household:

• Cleaning supplies (unopened)
• Paper cups and napkins (new)
• Plastic utensils (new)
• Wal-Mart/grocery store gift cards (refreshments for waiting parents and volunteers)

For Children and Teens:

• Family oriented DVD's (new)
• Puzzles
• Craft kits
• Playing cards
• Board games
• Crayons, markers, colored pencils
• Sidewalk chalk
• Construction/drawing paper
• Coloring books

 Personal Items:

• First aid supplies (new)
• Hand cream / sanitizer (new)
• Alcohol wipes (new)
• Tissues (new)
• Diapers - various sizes (new)
• Diaper wipes (new)
  

 Other Items:

• Furniture (gently used)

We love our Volunteers! These are the people who give up their own time and provide the coverage needed to make our program possible. To help us show our appreciation, the following items are very useful:

• Gift bags (new condition) and ribbons (new)
• Attractive Candles (new)
• Grocery store gift cards for refreshments during trainings
• Gift cards to Wal-Mart or Michael's Crafts for small gifts and wrappings
• Pizza and restaurant coupons or gift cards
